The purpose of the CoDA Serenity Pages newsletter is to not only inform, but also to encourage spirituality, communication, and unity among CoDA members. It is also to carry the CoDA message to other co-dependents who still suffer.
The content of this newsletter - unless otherwise noted - is not endorsed by National CoDA or the Greater Omaha CoDA Service Group. They are only each writer's personal opinions or experiences.
All are encouraged to share their experience, strength, and hope in the form of stories, poems, book reviews, article submissions, etc. (no matter how new or old you are to the program).

A Word From Your Chair
Greetings everyone! First and foremost, I would like to extend a huge
thank you to CJ for his service as chair the past two years. His time
and energy was greatly appreciated by so many people.
Secondly, I'd like to remind everyone that as a board we are your trusted
servants. We need to carry out the membership's wishes. So, please
don't hesitate to take problems, ideas, concerns, or wishes to your GSR
or a board member. Or, better yet - come to a service board meeting!
One of the things I'd like to focus on the next two years is to really listen
to the membership. This needs to be your program and we are only
here to represent you.
Thank you for trusting me in this position and I'm truly honored to serve
you.
Serving you,
Danielle S.

"The secret to living the life of your dreams is to START living the life of your dreams." --Anonymous
Happy New Year! Welcome to the first CoDA newsletter for 2004. The New Year
has a way of making the future look a little brighter. It's a time of clean slates and
setting goals; a chance to forgive and move on with our lives.
With the New Year we are reminded that our future is limited only by ourselves and
our limited ways of thinking. Anything can happen and anything is possible if we
just open our minds and our hearts. Right now, our lives stand before us like a
book waiting to be written. Setting goals and working your program are the ways
in which you can write the next chapter.
Take a moment to make a list of things you'd like to see happen in your life. Leave
room for the unexpected and the unforeseen. List what you're ready to let go of
people you'd like to forgive.
Here's wishing all of you a healthy and prosperous New Year!
In Service,
Sarah A.
Vice Chair
- Please remember to bring in your 7th tradition meeting donations to the montly service meeting. The formula is 80% to the 12-Step house and 20% to the CoDa service group. Each group should keep a prudent reserve of $10-$15 for individual meeting expenses such as chips, literature, etc.
- Meeting list changes? Contact Danielle or CJ (671-5057)
